Mari-Reigh: London, United Kingdom; Hello, my name is Mari-Reigh and I live and work here in London. I am originally from Tokyo, Japan where I was a graphic designer and copy writer before coming to London 12 years ago. My lovely husband originates from Sussex where we spend a lot of our time (as you will see from my blog). Living in central London without a garden, I still, with huge satisfaction, grow and cook vegetables from our balcony and try to cook and sew every day. Food and cooking are huge passions, expressed by what I cook at home (rather than the years I spent running a Japanese food company in London). I have been immersed in food and the arts since I was a little girl. My mother loved arts and crafts and taught me painting, sewing and pottery from a young age. My brother, Masahiro, is one of Japan's leading proponents of traditional wear such as Kimono (see www.awai.jp) and Grandma Takayo, ran a knitting school and a restaurant. It's not all arts and cooking - I love to fish and even caught (and cooked) a mullet of the Welsh coast recently!. I hope you enjoy my works as much as I enjoyed making them.
